Antique parefeuille

The antique parefeuille is one of the French reclaimed terracotta tiles from the Languedoc region in the south of France. It is a rectangular handmade tile from the 19th century and was used as a part of the houses roof structure.  It was indeed installed underneath the barrel roof tiles. This is why the antique parefeuilles are a classic element of the Provençal architecture. The colour variation of the reclaimed parefeuille tiles changes according to the villages in which they are reclaimed from. Of varied dimensions and shades of colour (yellow, red, pink…), the old parefeuilles will give your interior a touch of style. The reclaimation of the parefeuilles is carried out when old houses are being renovated. The antique parefeuilles are then dismantled with the roof tiles, rafters and wooden beams. Provence Matériaux Anciens buys all these reclaimed materials to clean them, sort them and give them a second life. We travel through our regions in search of quality batches to meet the inspiration of each client. Please feel free to contact us regarding our antique parefeuilles collection. We will be glad to help you in the choice of the right material for your architectural project.
